VISITING ACADEMICS
The School of Computing at Dublin City University is interested to hear from overseas academics interested in spending some, or all, of their sabbatical time working with us.  The School teaches  undergraduate programmes in Computing and in Computational Linguistics and taught Masters programmes in Computer Applications, Computer Applications for Education and Electronic Commerce in addition to our wide range of research interests.  The School consists of 40 full-time academic staff  plus 17 support staff posts covering both administration and technical support (some of these posts are vacant) and is housed in a new, purpose-built building on a 60-acre campus on the North side of Dublin city.

Ireland, and Dublin in particular, is an attractive place to live and to work with a booming economy, especially in the software sector.  Ireland is home to almost all the major software and hardware development companies and is the second-largest producer and exporter of software in the world.

Dublin City University is a young, modern University located in a purpose-built campus with 5500 full-time students on campus during semester.

Those interested in exploring the possibility of spending some time working with us should make informal contact with the Head of School,
