This year, Compute TY's main sponsor is Lero with Microsoft and Lenovo as sponsors
of prizes. Lenovo have kindly donated a laptop which will be given
as a prize for the best website designed on the course by a single student. Microsoft have
also donated the second prize of an X-Box and end of week prizes of Halo 3 games, which will
be presented weekly to a student or students from
each school with the best website.
This year, Compute TY will have over 400 students attending the course
which runs every week from 7th January - 31st January 2009 in the School of Computing on the DCU campus
in Glasnevin. At the close of each week students get a chance to present their web sites at a special concluding
ceremony. At the end of the ceremony each student receives a certificate of completion.
