Introducing Team Projects early in the curriculum

Abstract

Software is rarely produced by individuals working alone. Despite this most software engineering courses emphasize individual performance. Introducing team projects as early as possible in the curriculum can provide a better understanding of software development and the roles involved in development teams. The issues involved are discussed and various implementation models described.
