Conference Venue
The ECOWS'08 conference will be held in Dublin City University (DCU), Dublin, Ireland. Dublin City University is Ireland's youngest university, established in 1980 on a 85 acre campus three miles north of the city centre and just a fifteen minute drive from Dublin Airport. There are 10,000 registered students at DCU, a figure which includes full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as students on the Distance Education degree programme.

Travel from/to the airport in Dublin
Dublin airport is located about 14km north of the city centre. Travelling from and to the airport can be done by bus or coach or by taxi. There is no rail, tram or metro access to the airport. Alternatively, you can rent a car at Dublin airport. The conference location (DCU) is located 8km south of DCU. By taxi this is a 15 to 20 minute journey.

    • Tipping: Small tip is appreciated for good service, but very unusual in pubs and bars. Tip taxis 10% and porters 65 Euro cent per bag
    • Smoking Policy: Smoking ban in all enclosed places of work in Ireland. This includes Universities, office blocks, pubs/bars and restaurants.
