An Interfaculty Team wins the 1999 Student Enterprise Awards
An inter faculty team comprising 2 CA4 students and a BS3 student won first prize in the Enterprise Ireland Student Enterprise Awards, 1999 on Friday 12th. This is an excellent achievement for the CA students given that this is the first time that CA students have participated in the competition. Ms. Teresa Hogan (Lecturer) and her charges have done us proud once again.

The winning team exemplify the mix of skills and expertise required for business success. Geraldine and Anne are both qualified nurses in the final year of the Computer Applications Degree Programme. They used their technical skills and knowledge of the medical sector to develop DocAid. Anne and Geraldine teamed up with Leo, a final year student in Business Studies, specialising in finance, to put together the winning business plan.
