I'm an EU passport holder - what are the fees for the computing postgrad taught programmes?

The cost of the programme for EU students is €2000 for the coming academic year (2009/2010) and this is subject to an annual review but generally only increases by approx €100-250. Part-time students pay this fee (or similar) both years. EU students pay a deposit €1,000 - due immediately upon acceptance of a place and, as this is a Graduate Skills Funded Programme, the full amount must be paid before beginning the course.

If I am doing a part-time degree do I have to pay both years?

Yes, you do. The fee is paid per annum and don't forget, the fee changes from year to year so may be increased by approx €100-250 in the second year. This is subject to an annual review by the HEA.

I'm not sure which category I fall under for fees - where can I check this?

Please be aware there are THREE categories for fees:

  • EU Applicants (including EU passport holders and refugee status)
  • EU Status Applicants (who pay approximately HALF the non-EU applicants fees)
  • Non-EU Applicants
Please see here to determine your EU category/status.

Where can I find fees for EU Status Applicants?

All fees for EU Status Applicants can be found here - NOTE: as these are for 2008/2009 these will be subject to change. As a rule of thumb, EU Status Applicant fees are usually approximately half the fees for Non-EU Applicants.

Where can I find fees for Non-EU Applicants?

The fees for non-EU students for 2009/2010 are available here.

Where can I find information on grants, scholarships and funding?

Again, you will need to contact the Fees Office for this. There is some information on this here.
