Working in Ireland
BSc in Computer Applications - Working in Ireland
International citizens studying in Ireland, do not need to obtain a work permit
in order to work in the country. Non-EU students may work for
a maximum of 20 hours per week on a part-time basis, and may also
work full-time during holiday periods. It is important to note,
however, that you will need a work permit should you wish to continue
working in Ireland following completion of your studies.
Like all employees in Ireland, you will need to obtain a
Personal Public Service
Number (PPS) number for tax purposes. This can be obtained from your local Department of
Social Welfare and Family Affairs Office, details of which are listed at:
http://www.welfare.ie/contact/index.html#Local_offices.
