BSc in Computer Applications - Working in Ireland

International citizens studying in Ireland, do not need to obtain a work permit in order to work in the country. Non-EU students may work for a maximum of 20 hours per week on a part-time basis, and may also work full-time during holiday periods. It is important to note, however, that you will need a work permit should you wish to continue working in Ireland following completion of your studies.

Like all employees in Ireland, you will need to obtain a Personal Public Service Number (PPS) number for tax purposes. This can be obtained from your local Department of Social Welfare and Family Affairs Office, details of which are listed at:
