We are delighted to announce Tuesday 29th May 2012 as the date for our Final Year Projects Expo 2012, at 8am in the Helix. This year, the School of Computing, the School of Electronic Engineering and the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering will participate in our Expo.  You will also have the opportunity to meet our first final year Enterprise Computing students who will showcase their projects. 

 As always, we will celebrate with a breakfast in the Helix from 8am and afterwards move to the School of Computing to view the project demos.

Reports have shown a significant rise in job opportunities in the ICT sector and a shortfall of graduates to fill the vacancies. Ireland has created 5,000 jobs in the technology sector since 2010 and employers expect more opportunities for software engineers in the future.  Expo 2011 was an excellent opportunity for IT and Engineering professionals to meet the students and view the high standard and broad range of development work carried out during their time in DCU.  Over 200 employers attended the event and feedback has been tremendous, many students were offered employment or job interviews and the soon-to-be graduates leave DCU confident that their career prospects are extremely positive.
