Probability (CA 219)
Course Aims
To introduce students to the basic ideas of probability concepts and applications and to provide them with an understanding of discrete and continuous distributions.
The Breakdown of the Marks
- 80% goes to the final Exam
- 20% goes to the continuous Assessment.
- Group 1, (Surname from A to F), weeks 4, 6, 8 and 10 in room XG19 on Wednsdays 12:00-13:00.
- Group 2 (Surname from G to K), weeks 4, 6, 8 and 10 in room CG29 on Wednsdays 13:00-14:00.
- Group 3, (Surname from L to N), weeks 5, 7, 9 and 11 in room XG19 on Wednsdays 12:00-13:00.
- Group 4, (Surname from O to Z), weeks 5, 7, 9 and 11 in room CG29 on Wednsdays 13:00-14:00.
- You have to do three projects.
- You need to work in groups of 3.
- Deadline for submission is Friday 1st, Dec 2006 at 3:00pm.
- Projects will be demonstrated during the weeks 11th and 12th of Semester 1. Wed 6th and 13th Dec 2006.
