Welcome to my home page. I am a postdoctoral researcher in the TeaPOT Research Group which is based in the School of Electrical Engineering Systems at the Dublin Institute of Technology. Previously, I worked in the ISG group at the School of Computing, Dublin City University (DCU). In 2007, I graduated with a PhD in Information Retrieval from DCU under the supervision of Alan Smeaton and Stephen Blott.
Research Interests
  • Information Retrieval: Biomedical IR, Ontologies, Semantic Similarities.
  • Health Information and Data Management: Health Informatics Infrastructures, Biometric Sensor Data Management, RSS Stream Querying, Electronic Health Record standards, Semantic Interoperability.
