Title: Research Skills and Professional Practice

The approved university module specification.

Introduction to Library Research Facilities: Thurs 1st October 11.00-12.00:  Michaela Hollywood  will give a broad introduction to Library resources and will  introduce students to specific subject-relevant resources, for example Inspec, IEEE and ACM. This lecture will take place in the library.

Research Skills : Jane Horgan (School of Computing)

Professional Practice (Ethics and Law):  Renaat Verbruggen (School of Computing)

Module Assessment:

 Continuous Assessment:                      50%                     

         (a) Research Skills: 33.3%

         (b) Ethics and Law: 16.6%

Final Exam:                                           50%
