Impressive User Interfaces

I really like the demos for the following

Apple's Multi touch screen movie
In some parts of the video the interface is somewhat similar to the Fischlar-DT interface task, but without users at different ends of the table. This video is well worth a look in its entirety - it gets a bit more interesting after the first 40 seconds - from the look of it they have some experiments/demos with browsing and organising image collections (0:42) and mixing videos for a dance video or possibly dance club (2:35)?. I think it differs significantly from existing Fischlar-DT work by using multiple touches from the same person - multiple fingers and sometimes using both hands simultaneously (they also support multiple simultaneous users as in the DT). There are nice ideas in this video and it shows other applications and interaction styles for these types of DT-like interface devices.

Tabletop Sand Art
This is a great tabletop interface for creating [sand] art but maybe it's the artist's talent not the interface. The support for direct manipulation of the canvas is great though - imagine replicating the way the artist physically moves around the sand in this video, digitally based on what parts and how much of their hand and the pressure involved in each stoke. The video is very peaceful - can other multimedia interface demo video's be as spiritual - just imagine...
