Some people are looking for information on how to install Java on to their machines at home. Instructions for this can be found on the following sites:

  • Cay Horstmann's Site
  • Charlie Daly's Site
  • According to the Apple Site MAC OS X comes pre-installed with a JDK (Java Developer Kit). Therefore Java should just run! To check this open a shell and type java, if the command is recognised then java is installed.

This week the question of the week was where to find the Console class, so I just stuck it up here. Just right click here and select "save as", download the file to where you are practicing your coding.NOTE: You will have to compile it, ahh sure its good practice!

Nora has put up instructions on how to install JDK on your machine at home, so you should now be able to practice your coding at home.
