Title : Introduction to Apache & The Apache Forrest Documentation Tool

Abstract : Have you ever wanted to build a professional website to show off your academic work? Do you want to avoid having to master HTML? Would you like to be the envy of all your peers?

Apache Forrest can help you to build a high quality, standards compliant (will look great in all browsers) websites in ten minutes. Give it more than ten minutes of your time and global domination is possible*.

In this talk I will discuss the Apache approach to software development before briefly discussing it's best known achievements. I will discuss how Forrest works before doing a live demo of how to build a Forrest Website.

Forrest is Java based so it will work on any supporting platform such as Linux or Windows. The technical knowhow to get the tool up and running is minimal. Forrest is ideal for building postgraduate websites such as your homepage!

Some background information to the talk is available at....
