XLIM - XQuery for Large Scale Integration Methods

I am investigating the management of large scale distributed P2P heterogeneous sources. Using the Bologna Agreement as motivation to my research there remains the requirement to represent data and services from the heterogeneous sources in an efficient Metadata format to enable efficient querying.

My research focuses on storing metadata for information and services. To present a solution for these requirements the correct metadata representations must be present and stored in the most efficient way possible. The aim of this research is to provide the query service with mediated view of the heterogeneous sources to retrieve the required data and to enable automatic service composition from the from the service metadata provided.
