Sandipan Dandapt is an MS student at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur since January 2004. He is also working for Communication Empowerment Laboratory, IIT-Kgp as a Junior Project Officer. Prior to joining IIT-Kgp, he was a Research Assistant at Language Technologies Research Centre, Hyderabad.

He obtained his PGDCL from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. He has obtained his B.Tech (Hons) from the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering of Haldia Institute of Technology; Vidyasagar University in 2002.

His areas of interests include Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Computational Linguistics. He is developing Part-of-Speech Tagger for Indian languages, working on Morphological Analyzer for Bengali.
