DCU School of Computing is delighted to announce IBM will bring their Smarter Planet Tour to DCU on 15th March. The 32 tonne skills truck will arrive on campus for everyone to enjoy. IBM is keen to promote smarter, safer and greener ways forward in technology by introducing new skills, new ways of thinking and new ways of applying technology to solve business and world problems.
James Flynn, from IBM explains "The Smarter Planet tour is visiting 24 universities in 12 European countries and we are delighted to bring it onto the DCU Campus on 15th March. DCU will be the only campus the truck will visit here in Ireland and there is a wonderful schedule planned for everyone to enjoy during the day".
He went on to say "Inside the Skills truck there's plenty to see and do. We will have various demos, there's a gamezone, a job zone and lots more. By visiting the truck you will get to learn about IBM technologies, talk to IBM experts and have a chance to create your own digital signature."
